Group air booking and transfer services

The following client congress example is a good illustration of the typical group air booking and transfer services HRG Australia can provide for its clients.  The HRG Events and Meetings Management division works with the client’s business events team on the development of their congress every two years.

With around 600 delegates from across Australia, scheduled for locations in Singapore, Cairns and Hong Kong, HRG assists with group air flight bookings, while the client manages the actual event.  Our group air team works with the various airlines’ group departments to “hold” group blocks and manage the requests and changes via a meticulous process with the client’s team providing logistical support where necessary. We produce individual itineraries for each traveller and assist with personal travel extensions pre/post event.

Importantly, as the client is a corporate travel management client for HRG, we access not only their individual travel profiles, but their negotiated fares and preferred accommodation rates in the sourcing of this event, both allowing for savings during the process and adding volume – and therefore negotiating strength – to their annual spend.

All Congress-related bookings we make for the client are entered into our mid-office system, thus enabling their Congress travel to be incorporated into their standard travel reporting package.
