Travel Consultant – Intermediate

Candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 2 plus years experience as a travel consultant
  • College diploma in Travel and Tourism, CTC designation is an asset
  • Proficiency with a GDS: Sabre/Apollo/Travelport
  • Full understanding of rules and fares
  • Working knowledge of industry procedures for exchanges and ticketing
  • Well developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to work: Afternoons, Evenings and Weekends
  • Ability to work from a Home Office

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide a high level of customer service
  • Complete all reservations and files daily
  • Resolve moderately complex client service issues/user support desk
  • Proactively and creatively researches and advises best options for clients and counsels appropriately
  • Arrange air/rail/ground transportation and hotel accommodation
  • Ability to complete changes for air/car/hotel/package reservations
  • Establish and maintain strong client rapport
  • Advise clients of required travel documents
  • Provide direction for junior level co-workers when required
