Client Relationship Manager - Bilingual - Government of Canada

Candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalency
  • 5+ years business-to-business account management
  • Proven experience in travel industry, with a solid understanding of integrated expense management solutions
  • Outstanding verbal communications, financial analysis and network building
  • Strong presentation skills, exposure to all business levels, written communications, writing, analysis, portfolio planning, time management, project management, team building and market research analysis
  • Understands the unique demands and the government business environment (operations, processes & culture)
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment; to understand the delineation of responsibilities/accountabilities in delivering complex service solutions
  • Excellent listening skills to understand the key drivers for the customer and to build solutions that respond to their needs
  • Must be bilingual (French and English); able to engage in in-depth level of conversation in French and English

Responsibilities include:

  • Communicate and sell the HRG value proposition
  • Works within cross-functional teams and manage multiple deliverables within a tight timeframe
  • Develop actionable, measurable annual account plans by department. These account plans will serve as the roadmaps that will ultimately deliver the growth, savings and process improvements
  • Support the annual action plans, provide value-added strategy consultation to meet customer & HRG needs, i.e. expense program management, cost containment, profitability analysis and best practices
  • Achieve solid multi-level relationships within departments/agencies and leverage these relationships to effectively drive incremental revenue growth and other value added HRG products and services
  • Ensure alignment among internal HRG customers (card operations, implementations, shared services, finance, technology, etc.) through effective communication of goals and client deliverables/timelines
  • Develop and deliver annual client action plans and to provide regular business reviews to monitor progress against these plans
  • Drive improvements in processes &/or products to serve customer
  • Adapt influencing/negotiating strategies/proposition to appeal to interest & level of audience
  • Develop long term strategies & objectives for one's own accounts
  • Actively build, maintain & utilize an extensive network to internal/external partnerships
  • Anticipates the positions/reactions of diverse customers
