Introduction of Hotel Account Manager

A leading logistics company with significant UK hotel spend across a number of different locations asked us to improve the traveller experience by improving their hotel programme.

The client also wanted to see a reduction in average room rates and returned commission so we proposed the introduction of a hotel account manager who could expertly manage the programme.

The process has delivered an improved quality of stay for the client’s travellers across a range of different category hotels including budget, three and four-star properties.

Returned commission of more than £120,000 during 2010 was also achieved while further savings of more than £50,000 have been delivered from the 2010 to 2011 programme based on estimated spend.

Following the success of the consolidation of the programme and delivery of savings, HRG would recommend the investment in a sector expert to other clients where appropriate.
