Hogg Robinson Group (HRG), the international corporate services company, has announced the appointment of Matthew Pancaldi as Director of Sales for HRG UK.
Reporting to Jenny Prescott, Director of Sales Europe, Matthew will be based at HRG UK’s headquarters in Farnborough, Hampshire and will take on overall responsibility for its corporate sales team – focusing on developing new business opportunities and securing managed corporate travel accounts across both the private and public sectors.
Jenny Prescott commented: “This is great news for the Company and a well deserved promotion for Matthew as he has substantial client-facing experience and a deep understanding of the changing corporate travel environment. He has the necessary talent and knowledge to work with his team and develop solutions to meet clients’ needs. He will be invaluable in his new role, and I have no doubt that, under his direction, HRG UK will enjoy ongoing new business success.”
Matthew added: “I am delighted to have been appointed Director of Sales and I look forward to working with my team to expand HRG’s already impressive client list. Matthew graduated in Social Geography from the University of Sussex, and spent the early part of his career in travel management holding several senior sales roles. Matthew joined HRG in 1999 as Head of Account Management for London and the Southern Region - during which time he achieved sustained client retention rates of 99% - and was then promoted to Director, UK Business Group.
A keen sportsman with a particular interest in long-distance running – he has now completed seven (soon to be eight) marathons! Matthew is married with two young children.
