HRG Belgium (the corporate services company formerly known as Weinberg Travel) has been awarded the top accolade of ‘Business Travel Agency of the Year’ by Travel Magazine (TM) in their 2007 Travel Awards.

Now in their tenth year, the awards commend outstanding quality and performance within the industry. The winners are selected following extensive independent telephone and email research surveys undertaken by WES (West Flanders Economic Research Agency) and incorporate the feedback of some 800 industry agents. The results are kept a closely guarded secret until the night of the awards ceremony.

Georges Rivel, Managing Director of HRG Belgium, said upon receiving the award: “I am delighted that the readers of Travel Magazine have highlighted HRG Belgium as deserving of this prestigious accolade based on a combination of client satisfaction and our company’s excellent reputation in the industry.

“The award comes at an exciting time for us having only last month formally become one of the Hogg Robinson Group owned companies, re-branded as HRG Belgium and extended the range of value-added services we were able to offer our clients. This is the second time that the company has recognised in the TM Awards. Founder President Sabine Schanzer was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003 and joined Georges Rivel (and his wife Caroline who heads up HRG Belgium’s well-respected Events & Meetings Management division) at this year’s awards ceremony - a glittering gala reception which was held at the Hilton Antwerp on Friday, 16 November.

HRG Belgium’s Managing Director Georges Rivel receives the prestigious ‘Business Travel Agency of the Year 2007’ award from Peter Mathieu, Managing Director of Cruise Connection (the Belgian marketing and sales organisation of Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean International) and one of the sponsors of the gala-evening.
