Outstanding Honour for Hogg Robinson CEO

Hogg Robinson Chief Executive David Radcliffe has been named one of “The 25 Most Influential Executives 2005” by leading US publication Business Travel News (BTN) for the second time.
The annual awards pay tribute to some of the most esteemed business executives worldwide - described by BTN as an “awesome line-up” - and this year Radcliffe is listed alongside globally renowned figures such as Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao (President and Premier respectively of the People’s Republic of China) and senior officials from US administration including Norman Mineta (Secretary, US Department of Transportation) and Kip Hawley (Director, Transportation Security Administration). Radcliffe is the only person from the travel management company sector to be recognised by the publication.
Commenting on Radcliffe’s selection as one of the 25 decision makers who exerted the greatest sway over the corporate travel industry last year, the BTN judging panel commented that Hogg Robinson is: “a genuine transatlantic contender in global travel management.” They cited the acquisition of Sea Gate, Hogg Robinson’s investment in Spendvision (and its subsequent Queensland Government travel and expense management account win) as indicative of the company’s total focus on corporate travel.
On his influence in the business travel market in 2005, Radcliffe said that Hogg Robinson “offered an alternative to the relentless march towards low-cost, low service transactions. It’s about what our cost can do for our clients’ overall travel expenses, not just the cost itself.”
