Hogg Robinson rebrands and announces new worldwide network

Hogg Robinson has today announced that it will be known as HRG (Hogg Robinson Group). The new brand reflects its positioning as an international corporate services company and will be introduced from 3rd April 2006. Hogg Robinson has also announced the launch of its new worldwide network which will also adopt the HRG brand.

In addition to Hogg Robinson’s wholly owned companies in over 20 key markets which currently trade as BTI, the HRG network will extend to a further 68 countries of strategic importance which will comprise the vast majority of the partners who are currently part of the Business Travel International (BTI) organisation and who have elected to stay with Hogg Robinson. It is estimated that the new network has a global turnover of $12 billion and a total workforce of over 15,000 employees. Equally importantly, it has proven capabilities, expertise and experience in both the global and local corporate travel arenas.

Hogg Robinson has publicly stated that its focus is as a corporate services company specialising in the business travel market and the new brand has been designed to reflect that. David Radcliffe, CEO, declared that: “Hogg Robinson’s simple objective is to offer a range of services from low cost transaction processing through to consulting and expense management. These offerings are designed to maximise overall value to corporate clients through their travel and related expenditure.”

Radcliffe continued: “Whilst we will continue to operate on a business as usual basis with existing clients who have contracted with BTI, it is important that HRG is clearly positioned as a value focused company. In today’s corporate travel management segment, there are huge differences in approach. Some Travel Management Companies (TMCs) are concentrating on low cost transaction solutions whilst we firmly believe we need to add value by offering a complete range of services, including low cost if appropriate to the client.

“We have stated that any global organisation providing corporate services in the business travel environment needs to be under single ownership and we are delighted to have accomplished this. Hogg Robinson owns in all the key driver markets and has a network of strong partners, many of whom we have worked with for over 15 years.
