Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) wins prestigious Australian Government contract

21 November 2006

Hogg Robinson Group (HRG), the international corporate services company, has announced that it has won a multi-million dollar contract (with a term of up to five years) for the “Provision of Travel Management Services to Federal Senators and Members of Parliament, their Staff and Other Entitled Persons” for the Australian Department of Finance and Administration, represented by the Ministerial and Parliamentary Services (M&PS) Group.

Following a competitive pitch process led by HRG Australia, the company was appointed as M&PS’ corporate travel solutions provider – further strengthening its strong public sector portfolio. HRG will be providing a seamless, personalised service from two centres: a dedicated ‘implant’ office (Parliamentary Travel Office) within Parliament House in Canberra and an offsite fulfilment team (Government Centre of Excellence) based in Melbourne. As a result of the contract award, HRG Australia will be recruiting an additional 12 staff to work exclusively on the M&PS business.

David Radcliffe, Chief Executive of Hogg Robinson Group, commented: “M&PS is an exceptionally prestigious account and I am delighted that they have chosen to award this contract to HRG. They particularly highlighted our flexibility and responsiveness as key factors in their decision, qualities that are synonymous with HRG’s commitment to pursuing a value-led, corporate services approach for its clients.

“Last year HRG was awarded three high profile contracts with the Queensland Government. Together these formed the first fully outsourced Travel Management System (TMS) ever to be supplied to a Government body. This latest win further demonstrates our public sector expertise and ability to tailor a solution to meet Federal Government’s unique requirements.”

The M&PS contract win underlines HRG’s ability to cater for clients that require significant technology expertise, involving solutions such as data capture and consolidation, secure reporting and ticketing fulfilment, combined with highly skilled consultants offering a personal approach. HRG’s dual-centre service meets M&PS’ requirement for a bespoke, cost effective consultancy-based service for Federal Parliamentarians and their staff. Advanced telephony systems and technology will be utilised to enable automatic call flows between the two centres at periods of peak demand, ensuring a seamless service.

M&PS implementation with HRG commences in November with full service provided from 1st January 2007.
