HRG Germany service concept impresses Volkswagen

International corporate travel services company wins one of Germany’s largest travel budget contracts.

HRG Germany has been able to win the hearts and minds at Volkswagen Group by submitting the winning bid for one of Germany’s largest travel budgets. As of 1 October 2010, HRG Germany will service all of the German brands and holding companies in the Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft Group, covering a total of around 175,000 employees.

For Volkswagen the price-benefit ratio offered by HRG, which is geared to both today’s as well as the future requirements of Volkswagen AG, played a key role in its decision. For HRG Germany’s Managing Director, Dr. Mathias Warns, winning the VW Group’s travel budget contract is a confirmation of the concept his company has consistently developed for two years.

His objective is to systematically enhance the value added by HRG through the use of innovative service concepts and contracts, especially for companies operating worldwide. Explaining the rationale behind the contract award, Warns said, "The range of travel services is becoming increasingly complex; at the same time, companies’ requirements are increasing as they endeavour to optimise their entire corporate travel process.
