Implementation of GetThere and SSO

By Kathy Pilatos, HRG Business Manager

Our client is a public sector organisation. They were seeking to increase efficiency and drive down cost following several years of a traditional service configuration.

The client wanted to implement a third-party online booking tool as well as a secure way to access the solution to ensure the security and privacy of travellers.

We implemented GetThere for the 35 offices within the client organisation as well as a single-sign on process, enabling travellers to access the online booking tool via their secured intranet site. We also recommended using their employee identification number to pull up profiles when they called the traditional agents as we needed a unique identifier for each traveller.

Implementation of the online booking solution was smooth with minimum service disruption and customer satisfaction was maintained.

Adoption levels have risen to 50% in 10 months and we are working on rolling out GetThere to 27 agencies. As the agencies do not have access to the intranet site, we plan to implement them using HRG’s iSuite platform. GetThere has nominated HRG and the client for an award at their forthcoming GetThere Summit in June based on fast track adoption and best program rollout.

Communication, training and road shows contributed greatly to the implementation and rapid adoption of the online booking solution. We have also implemented a monthly adoption report by ministry that is delivered to the travel manager. These help the travel manager identify ministries with the best adoption rates and highlight any that need encouragement or further training.
